Africa Safari Selous is the comfort-level base of our 4-Day Nyerere Safari with Boat Safari, set just outside Mtemere, the park’s main gate, about 3 km from the Rufiji River and around 180 km by road from Dar es Salaam. That position is the point: it keeps the drive from the city manageable and puts the gate a few minutes away on the full game-drive day. Rooms are African-style banda bungalows, larger air-conditioned pool bungalows for families, and a small number of simple safari tents. The lodge has a restaurant and bar overlooking a waterhole, two swimming pools and Wi-Fi in the common areas, with power from solar panels and a generator. Game drives, boat safaris on the Rufiji and bush walks are arranged from the lodge. Room category and meal plan are confirmed on your quote.
