Why we use this property
Vuma Hills Tented Camp is the Mikumi base of our 5-Day Mikumi and Udzungwa Mountains Safari, run by the Fox family's Foxes Safari Camps. It sits on wooded hills in the south-west of the park, looking out over the Mkata plains. There are sixteen spacious tents on wooden decks under makuti-thatched roofs, each solar-powered, with a shaded veranda at the front and a large en-suite bathroom at the back; some suit families. Between game drives there is a swimming pool with palm-frond salas for shade, and an elevated lookout deck for sundowners. Wildlife wanders through camp, so after dark Maasai guides walk guests between the main area and their tents. The camp opens from June to February; tent category and rates are confirmed on your quote.
