Why we use this property
Zuri Zanzibar is the beach stay on our 10-Day Nyerere, Ruaha and Zanzibar Safari, on the white sand of Kendwa on the north-west coast of Unguja, about 50 km from Stone Town and the international airport. Its 56 bungalows, suites and villas are hidden in a large tropical garden a short walk from the water, furnished with a mix of contemporary pieces and local craft and art. The bungalows have outdoor showers as well as indoor bathrooms and large private terraces; the suites add a separate living room and an outdoor jacuzzi; the villas sit mainly on the oceanfront with their own stretch of beach. The Upendo restaurant looks over the resort, Maisha serves fusion food with ocean views, and Bahari Grill and Bar is on the beach for Kendwa's sunsets. There is a pool, the MAUA spa, yoga and meditation, a spice garden, an outdoor gym, Wimbi water sports and a free kids' club for ages 4 to 12. Standard rates are half board, with an all-inclusive supplement on request.
