Why we use this property
Jabali Ridge is one of the Ruaha upgrades on our 7-Day Nyerere and Ruaha Fly-In Safari, run by Asilia Africa. It is perched on a rocky kopje among giant granite boulders, looking out over a baobab forest and the grasslands beyond, close to the seasonal Mwagusi River in the core game-viewing area of the park, where large herds of elephant and buffalo are watched by resident lion prides. Eight suites in bleached wood and African-inspired décor each have a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom and a private veranda with a sunken outdoor lounge and a hammock. There is an infinity pool and a spa. Rates include house drinks, a private vehicle and guide for game drives, a night drive and shared walking safaris from June to mid-February, with an armed ranger and a minimum age of 12. The lodge opens from June, and the nearest airstrip, Msembe, is about 50 minutes' drive away.
